This immersive tour offers a rich mix of history, natural beauty, and adventure, ensuring you experience the very best of Djibouti’s stunning landscapes. Discover the lowest point in africa, Tadjoura, oldest city in Djibouti and Foret de day, the home of National bird Francolin.
The tour will commence at 8:00 AM with a scenic journey to Lake Assal. Along the way, you will visit:
Afterward, we will continue to Tadjoura, the oldest town in Djibouti, known for its whitewashed buildings and historic mosques. The day will conclude with an overnight stay at “Le Golfe” hotel.
Following breakfast, we will drive to Sable Blanc—meaning “White Sand” in French—located 10 kilometers north of Tadjoura. The pristine white sand beaches provide a perfect opportunity to relax, swim in the crystal-clear waters, and explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with over 200 species of colorful fish.
After lunch, we will proceed to Foret de Day, where we will spend the evening at the campement site for an immersive nature experience.
A visit to Foret de Day will reveal its rich biodiversity, including giant acacias, junipers, wild olive trees, and jujube trees. The forest is home to baboons, green monkeys, a diverse array of bird species, and even panthers. Among the notable species is the Djibouti Francolin, a rare endemic bird.
The tour will conclude with a return to Djibouti City.
