Djibouti to Tadjorah/Sable blancs

Tadjoura is one of the oldest towns in Djibouti and serves as the capital of the Tadjourah Region. The town gained prominence in the early 19th century as an alternative port to the nearby Zeila.               

As one of the oldest towns in Djibouti, it boasts a unique charm with its whitewashed buildings that reflect the bright, sunny environment.The town’s location by the coast and its connection to Djibouti City by ferry make it a notable spot for visitors.

Day 1 : Djibouti to Tajourah/Sable Blanc

The tour starts at 8:30 and ends at 5pm. We drive from Djibouti to Tadjoura city, which is indeed a fascinating place with a rich history.  During the drive, our local guide will makes few stops on beautiful lanscapes from then we visit Sable Blanc. Sable blanc translates to “white sand” in French  and it is 10 k/m North of Tadjoura .

In the context of Tadjoura, it likely refers to the beautiful white sandy beaches that are found in the area. These white sand beaches are definitely a highlight, offering a perfect place to relax,to swim in a crystal water and view the corals and more than 200 colorful fishes. 

The tour ends coming back to Djibouti city.
